At the PPS School Board's Facilities Committee meeting on 1/21 it was reveled that light construction could not be started and completed in time for the start of the 2026 spring sports season.
The desion was made to delay the start of construction unitl after the spring sports season is concluded.
In related news, the PPS facilities department reveled they are in early stages of planning upgrades to a host of District athletic facilities which where named in the 2025 Bond. This includes a stadium for Grant Bowl. Unfortunately, do to the overall volumne of work, the time need for design, approval, land uses studies, disign, permiting and contractor selection, means the public should not expect to see work on the stadium to begin for at least 2-3 years.
